Our nine year old daughter strained a ligament and growth plate in her ankle. Her ankle hurt so bad we took her to a foot doctor. After paying $240 in medical cost we were sent to Athlete's Locker to buy her a pair of shoes to help her injuries heal. The owner was extremely cold and acted like he did not want us in his store. He only spoke in a tone just above a whisper. She is unable to put pressure on her foot but he kept telling her she needed to walk normal. Then he hit us with the cost of her shoes, $104! This is just a normal kid whose foot grows like a weed and who accidentally hurt herself. He was offended that we were shocked and upset over the price. This brought our daily output of medical cost at $344. That is hard to swallow especially when he acted we were inconveniencing and annoying him. If we did not feel stressed to do something to help our daughter now, we would have walked out. Even if we still needed to buy the shoes, we would of bought them from someone who had friendly customer service.
Landy did a great job of getting me the right shoe for running. I just started running so I wasn't sure which would be right for me but he got me an awesome pair of shoes 20% cheaper than anywhere else, even Amazon. He was very attentive to my needs and was very knowlegable about what would work best for me. (Not like the high school kids in the bog box retailers.) I went for a run this morning and WOW at the difference. I will definitely be going to see Landy from now on for my shoes and highly recommend that you do too.
I never buy atheletic shoes from anyone else. The owner is very knowledgeable about foot ware. Personal service every time!
He knows his stuff, is always very helpful and has more options on mizunos than anywhere else.
I have been going to Landy Shropshire for years. He is the best shoe guy in the business. He has years of experience. I have gone to other shoe stores in the past only to have taken the shoe back or just lost my money. I have never been unhappy with a pair of shoes that I have bought from Landy. Great guy!
